3. Course contents *

The practice of the research presented in the courses 'Evolutionary and Ecological Physiology' and 'Functional Morphology of Vertebrates' is assessed.  This implies practical excercises at the organismal level allowing the gain research skills and insights in the domains of thermal biology, energy metabolism and the functioning of musculo-skeletal systems.  In practice, a specific research topic is tackled in small groups (3-4 persons).  To start a few research papers are studied.  Next, in consult with the mentor a experiment is set up and carried out.  Data are analysed and presented and discussed in a report.  Fianlly a powerpoint presentation is given for the entire group.
