3. Course contents *

  1. The names "Analysis & Geometry Seminar I" and "Analysis & Geometry Seminar II" suggest an ordering THAT DOES NOT EXISTS! Students may attend both subjects independently. "Analysis & Geometry Seminar I" takes place in "uneven" years whereas "Analysis & Geometry Seminar II" takes place in "EVEN" years.
  2. Since the list of speakers varies from year to year, the content of the seminar talks changes, too. The list of present and former speakers can be found on the webpage of the seminar (Sonja Hohloch's webpage --> private webpage --> Seminars --> Analysis & Geometry Seminar).
  3. The weekly talks arise from the research areas of the speakers, i.e. are broadly spread over stochastic analysis, analysis & PDEs, dynamical systems, and differential geometry.
  4. To earn credits, student have to give a 30-60min talk. Students in the first master year may choose a topic within the scope of the seminar. Students in the second master year should give a talk on the topic of their master thesis (good preparation with feedback for the master presentation at the end of the 2nd master year!).
