3. Course contents *

During the master year of Industrial Chemistry, the study of chemical processes and the technology in the chemical industry will be further explored with emphasis on developed concepts and process development:

carbohydrates

cellulose

tensides, detergent

dyes and pigments

paper

PGO (problem-steered education)/project: an industrial chemical problem will be presented to groups of students. According to the rules of PGO, the student has to investigate, execute and process this problem. A written report will clarify this project.

Possible topics for the projects are: coatings, cosmetics and perfume, gaining precious metals, ...

Study visit: a visit to a chemical company will show the students how to put the theory into practice.
