Bachelor in Law
The course contains two parts. A first one provides a general introduction in ethics focusing on the following topics: (i) the relation between law and ethics; (ii) the main styles and traditions of contemporary ethical theory; (iii) the structure of moral experience and moral judgment. In a second part some specific ethical issues in areas of jurisprudence and jurisdiction are investigated such as: (i) ethics and tax law; (ii) the war on terror and human rights: (iii) free will and moral responsibility in criminal law; (iv) animal rights; (v) the tension between law and ethics in bioethical issues such as euthanasia, organ donation, etc ...
