3. Course contents *

Heterogeneous systems: definition and classification on basis of a continuum medium (fluid or gas) and type of phase (fluid, solid or gas). Typical examples: fog, crocket, emulsions, dispersions, nano-particles, ...

Powers in heterogeneous systems: attractive power (Van der Waals, magnetism, dipole, (physico-)chemical power and/or bonds. Repulsive power (electrostatic, entrophic, ...) and the overall interaction description (stability curves)

Detailed discussion of the diverse types of heterogeneous systems in liquids, with division in the type of interaction powers with the resulting characteristics and applications in specific applications

Also for heterogeneous systems in gas

Measuring the powers and characteristics; characterizing the systems
Preparation of the systems (grinding or building)
