This programme component aims to teach the students management skills, starting from four management models, based on the theoretical model of Robert Quinn's competing values framework. In this values framework the vertical axis and the horizontal axis with four paradoxical quadrants are used for the positioning of the following management models: (1) engagement and cohesion, (2) stability and continuity, (3) productivity and profitability and (4) changes and adaptability. These paradoxical tasks will be discussed in relation to the requirements (that will be) set with a number of skills for every model. Finally, the integration and the level of behavioural complexity of the skills that must be achieved within the four management models will be explained as a continuous pursuit of mastery. This modules emphasises theoretical knowledge and knowledge of skills.
