Exploring and applying OVI research techniques in OPD of the master's thesis.

  1. Exploring OVI research techniques through lectures, guest speakers from design and research agencies and via a research database that can be consulted via Blackboard (Study Material).
  2. Application of OVI research techniques:
    • From the range of research techniques in OVI, the student selects a sequence of techniques that he or she can apply in the OPD phase of his or her master's thesis. These choices are translated into a research plan.
    • The integration and application of the OVI techniques and the accompanying analysis and synthesis are supervised through consultation sessions. For this we organize an introductory practicum of 2 hours and 7 consultation sessions of 2 hours. During these sessions, students can make appointments with the supervisors and coach each other through "buddy work".
    • The students are assessed on their research plan and the application of the OVI research techniques within the OPD of their master thesis.
  • Lectures and guest-lectures: 8 hours
  • Practicum and consultation: 18 hours

2 important deadlines must be respected:

  1. Handing in the final and individual research plan by 29 October 2019
  2. Processing of OVI research within OPD file (same as OPD deadline). Through the enclosed research plan, students refer to the research that is eligible for assessment.
