At the start of this course the student should have acquired the following competences:

specific prerequisites for this course
Students will have a sufficient knowledge of French, both passive and active (level C1 of the European Framework of Reference for Languages).
Students must have a good ability to analyse, synthesize and interpret texts.
Students are also asked to adopt an open attitude towards French cultural habits. This is: to be open and interested in these new experiences, other people, ideas, society and culture; to be prepared to relativise one's own cultural point of view and value system; to be willing and able to break free from conventional attitudes towards culture and cultural differences.
Students are interested in French current affairs and are prepared to read the French press on a regular basis and with a critical attitude. They are therefore expected to take an active interest in French cultural events.
