3. Course contents *

In this course 'strategic innovation' will be the central theme this year.

This course tries to provide insight into topics such as types and levels of innovation, motives for innovation, innovation processes, innovation funding and hurdles, and methods to foster innovation. Innovation will be tackled from a strategy (i.e. not purely technological) perspective.

Next to the basic academic competencies a) critically analyzing, assessing and integrating diverse sources of information, b) formulating well-founded creative and nuanced advices, and c) argueing and presenting clearly advices for concrete company problem situations will be competencies being developed in this course. This will be done though diverse pedagogical instruments. 

Competencies will be developed through a) interactive sessions with case studies and role games, b) playing a business game in small group and c) performing an 'innovation audit' on an existing industry.
