3. Course contents *

This course consists of three major parts:

  • The first part examines how the institutional traditions and new institutionalism influence and shape organizations. Theoretical insights are linked to a practical case example.
  • The second part introduces the comparative business systems perspective and focuses on how national business systems impact organizational behavior. Students work on a business systems group work.
  • The third part focuses on how pressures for change can result in institutional entrepreneurship, and how organizations influence and shape institutions. Theoretical insights about institutional entrepreneurship are linked with a practical case application.
