3. Course contents *

The course describes the problems and tools to be used in conventional technology approaches for environmental problems. Special attention is paid to physico-chemical and biotechnological processes. The classical processes and technologies are presented and discussed for the environmental compartments water, soil, air and waste. 

The student will gain feeling with practice through the guided excursions.

In-depth technological understanding of water treatment technology is offered in the elective course 'Advanced Water Treatment Technology', in which the student also executes an audit of an industrial water treatment installation.
