3. Course contents *

The course gives an overview and understanding of the most important quantitative methods used in the world of insurance. It merely consists of three parts.

In the first part, we present an overview of the insurance sector, with the different branches and with key figures.

The second part covers the most important financial terminology and methods used in the bank and insurance sector.

In the third part we discuss Life insurance, with the following topics: mortality tables, endowments and annuities, net premiums, risk premiums and premium savings, provisions and unit linked products.
