Elected politicians make binding decisions for society. But who are they and what drives these political elites? In this course, we study the political behaviour of individual elected representatives within political institutions and parties. The focus is on the goals of politicians, their background and personality, on how elected politicians represent society, how they relate to their party, how they find and select information, and how they translate their political preferences into political action. Upon completion of this course students should be able to analyze political decision-making from the perspective of individual policians.
