3. Course contents *

The course tries to extend the knowledge, developed in course I. This will be done via visits at real installations and via extensive presentations on specific topics as membrane technology, electrochemistry etc. The students will be brought into contact with the BATNEEC (Best Available Techniques Not Entailing Excessive Costs) principle via practical examples. Also prevention technology and evaluation methods will allow them to avoid new environmental problems in the future. Such methods are LCA, product analysis and methods to prevent emissions and waste production.
