3. Course contents *

In this course, MBSE - Model-based Systems Engineering will be approached from a practical point of view. The domain knowledge acquired by the student during previous courses such as control technique, control logic, mechanics, etc will be presented in the appropriate modeling language such as causal block diagrams, state machines etc. Due to these models, we will not only have the opportunity to simulate, but also to discover other powerful techniques concerning MBSE, such as analysis, synthesis, verification, ... Finally, the MBSE will be framed within the entire design process of embedded and/or mechatronic systems.

In the tutorials, the students of Electronics-ICT will be focussing on the implementation of the model on different hardware and/or software platforms. The students of Electromechanics will be focussing on the plant model and hardware-in-the-loop simulations.
