3. Course contents *


The state-of-the-art consist of two parts, one of which is taught as distance learning.
The classes are given both by prof. dr. Dimitri Mortelmans and prof. dr. Karel Neels. The following themes will be dealt with:

1. Life course: Life course theories and models (Mortelmans)
2. Fertility: Family policy and fertility (Neels)
3. Relations I: Diversity in relationships, family formation (Mortelmans)
4. Migrants: Migration in Europe and beyond (Neels)
5. Relations II: Divorce (Mortelmans)
6. Population policy (Neels)

The course part in distance teaching consist of a bi-weakly assignment whereby students read several scientific articles (DU-EN) and do an assignment based on these texts in Blackboard.
