What is 'urban social work'? Which social problems are concentrated in our cities? How can social professionals deal with these urban challenges? Who are other relevant actors?

This course starts with an theoretical framework on urban social work. Then we focus on a number of contemporary urban issues: superdiversity and (trans)migration, transnational social work, diverse social work practices and hidden homelessness. All are explored in practice and analysed using theoretical insights.
