3. Course contents *

In this course the following topics will be discussed more closely:

  1. cardiovascular, metabolic and respiratory evaluation, rehabilitation and physiotherapy in paediatric congenital heart disease (cyanogenic and acyanogenic problems such as tetralogy of Fallot, transposition of large arteries, septum defects, coartatio aorta, aortastenosis...)
  2. cardiovascular, metabolic and respiratory evaluation, rehabilitation and physiotherapy in children with obesitas or diabetes
  3. cardiovascular, metabolic and respiratory evaluation, rehabilitation and physiotherapy in paediatric respiratory disorders:
  • IRDS, points of interest in the newborn and infant
  • pathophysiology of the lung in the newborn and infant
  • development of the lung and mucus transport.
  • respiratory physiology and pathophysiology
    • mucoviscidosis
    • bronchiolitis
    • bronchiectasis
    • respiratory complications in neuromuscular disorders
