3. Course contents *

Experimentation in currently booming in political science and our discipline is quickly becoming experimental. In this research module you will learn about the logic of experimentation, discuss the advantages and disadvantages of experimentation more generally and in political science more specifically, and you will receive assistance in setting up your own experiments. We will explain where experimentation comes from and what can and what cannot be done drawing on experimental designs. We will study existing experimental designs from the research literature and critically discuss them so that you learn how to design adequate experiments yourself.
