3. Course contents *

The field of knowledge management is characterized by rapid and thorough evolutions at the theoretical level as well as with regards to practical applications. This course will discuss some of the most important developments within this domain, using contemporary knowledge management theory to explain real-life organisational phenomena.

Topics include but are not limited to: knowledge generation, knowledge sharing and usage, and knowledge evaluation and consolidation. What are the barriers that organisations may encounter in their design and implication of knowledge management?

These topices are covered from three different perspectives:

  3. Knowledge management: Formal versus Informal
