Rankings and accreditations

The University of Antwerp’s Faculty of Business and Economics (FBE), together with Antwerp Management School (AMS), forms the business school of the University of Antwerp. Through this close collaboration, the business school belongs to the select 1% of business schools worldwide holding a Triple Crown accreditation. 

These three international accreditations recognise the quality of our education, research and engagement with the business community, and reflect our commitment to continuous improvement and international standards.

• ​AACSB– FBE and AMS have held AACSB accreditation since 2005. In 2025, the accreditation was renewed for another five years, recognising the quality of their management education programmes.
• EQUIS– In 2023, the University of Antwerp’s Faculty of Business and Economics, including all activities of Antwerp Management School, was awarded EQUIS accreditation by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD). EQUIS assesses business schools on areas including internationalisation, links with practice, research, ethics, responsibility and sustainability.
• AMBA– Antwerp Management School’s Executive MBA has held AMBA accreditation since 2015, with the accreditation renewed in 2023. AMBA is an international accreditation body specialising in MBA, DBA and MBM programmes.
• NVAO– The master’s programmes of Antwerp Management School undergo regular quality assurance by the Dutch-Flemish Accreditation Organisation (NVAO), in accordance with the applicable regulations for higher education in Flanders.
  

Together, these accreditations provide independent recognition of the quality and international standards of our business education.

The Master in Maritime and Air Transport Management was ranked at position 14 in the ‘Maritime Management Top 50 Worldwide’! Eduniversal is a global leader in higher education information. For the second year in a row, the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Antwerp participated in and received a world ranking based on this survey. We are proud to announce that three of our programmes have been ranked.
