This is an introductory course on the impacts of climate change on the historic built environment. It is designed for graduate students and early-stage PhD students, offering the change to learn from international experts in the field. Topics include climate science, heritage climatology, risk assessments, moisture transport modelling and monitoring, material degradation, and policy. The content mainly scopes stone built heritage (natural stone, brick, mortar and masonry).
The program features case studies, site visits, and a practical workshop. Participants will gain foundational knowledge while benefiting from networking opportunities and hands-on learning experiences.
