Tropical Field Class in Tanzania

The Tropical Field Course Tanzania is organized every two years and is part of the biology degree program. The field class is accessible to biology students who will obtain their bachelor's degree either in the year of their internship or the following year. A maximum number of 45 students can participate.

To ensure that all participants have sufficient basic knowledge of biology and ecology, there are certain admission requirements for the internship, both at the time of registration and at the start of the course.

Alpine field course in Switzerland

You will explore the Swiss Alps and get acquainted with the typical alpine and arctic ecosystems. You'll observe how geological history has shaped the landscape and how altitude and climate contribute to the diverse vegetation zones. During daily hikes, you will collect materials and data for further analysis. Additionally, you'll learn how to design and carry out a small research project on your own.

Marine field course

The marine biology field course on the northern French coast (Wimereux) offers you the opportunity to identify marine organisms and explore how they function in various parts of the tidal zone. During this course, you will also learn how to design and carry out a small experiment.
