Research - Department of Communication Sciences

Research at the Department of Communication Studies covers the broad range of fundamental, applied and policy-oriented research on diverse forms of media and communication. Our mission statement further explains our views on research.

Our department has four research groups, each concentrating on a subfield of communication studies:

• Media, Policy & Culture (MPC)
• Antwerp Media & Society centre 
• Political Communication research unit
• Visual and Digital Cultures Research Center  (ViDi)

Members of the research groups conduct both fundamental and commissioned research.
