The research team (QOU- PEA- IOB) will jointly design a mixed method research design on education in conflict.


This research sets out to:

  • study in-depth the effect of conflict on education access (infrastructure hardware, software but also mental, psychological aspects of access to education) quality and motivation, 
  • using a variety of methods (e.g. survey data, narrative stories data, life story mapping, ...) 
  • work WITH students, FOR students ... with students collecting/ analysing  data  and students experiences/stories
  • analysing data about how education has been affected by the conflict, how some education has been able to be continues against all odds 
  • and collect suggestions on how education can be supported in a conflict situation
