The project will design a training for young emerging evaluators in conflict settings.
We build on the different expertise of the project members on M&E (M&E concepts, ToC, practice (online) data collection, quali- & quanti methods, A.I. in evaluation…) as well as some training modules on professional skills. While the training will be available online, we also jointly work on finding the most suitable and feasible training modalities, depending on the political, safety and logistical situation at that moment, ranging from fully online, hybrid modalities (with live training in mobile learning centres) or live trainings.

The project will:

  • Select students to become Young Emerging Evaluators (YEE):
An open call for participation will be launched among students of QUO to be trained as an evaluator.
  • Train the students
The students are trained according to the designed training module once in early 2026 and once around summer 2026.
  • Students participate in data collection for evaluation and research
The selected students are provided with an additional short training on the process, familiarised with the data collection instruments, provided necessary tools. Students receive a financial incentive for their work as YEE. They can also participate in the
analysis and the dissemination of the findings
  • Results are disseminated to all relevant academic, policy and societal audiences
