What?
The AUHA Seed Fund promotes sustainable collaboration between researchers from the various AUHA institutions by providing time and space to develop a joint application dossier with an external grant provider.
The AUHA Seed Fund selects four projects, each receiving €25,000. In addition, UAntwerp, through the VLIRUOS Global Minds programme, makes additional funding available for two further projects, also receiving €25 000 each.
For who?
- Researchers from at least two AUHA institutions must jointly submit a seed fund application.
- A seed fund application involving researchers from at least two AUHA institutions and at least one institution in the Global South is also eligible for VLIRUOS Global Minds funding under this call. The partner institution must be an officially recognised higher education institution or research organisation located in one of the following countries: AFRICA: Benin, Burundi, DR Congo, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Morocco, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia. ASIA: Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Philippines, Palestine, Sri Lanka, Vietnam. LATIN AMERICA: Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Peru, Suriname.
Application
The Call 2025 for AUHA seed funding has been closed. Applicants will be informed on the selection results in September 2025.
