Together with its partner institutions, the University of Antwerp strongly upholds social justice, democratic values and an inclusive society where everyone matters. Guided by this conviction, we support the 11.11.11 initiative The Red Line – Draw the Red Line for Gaza. Alongside other organisations and concerned citizens, we want to express our concern about the humanitarian situation in Gaza and call for the protection of human rights.
We are aware of recent questions regarding the future of our existing collaboration with an Israeli university. We understand these concerns and remain open to critical dialogue. At the same time, we believe it is important to support the 11.11.11 campaign — the more people who join, the louder our message becomes. This campaign goes beyond UAntwerp. The genocide continues relentlessly.
