The Lunch Seminars are at the heart of the Centre for Urban History at the University of Antwerp. Whereas the aim of these nearly weekly meetings remains constant – a critical and constructive discussion focused on a written text dealing with urban history in the broadest sense –, the content and nature of the texts are characterized by a great variety, including project applications or research drafts, book chapters and articles in progress.

Participation
Although the members of the Centre make up the core of the lunch seminars, external scholars (both predoctoral and postdoctoral) are welcome to present a text or to participate in the discussion. Want to be invited for sessions? Want to present your paper? Contact us at stadsgeschiedenis@uantwerpen.be for more information.
