A couple of years ago, the unthinkable happened at the university of Antwerp. The Faculties of Computer Sciences and Engineering put their heads together and formed AnSyMo-Cosys_lab. Two separate labs became one and united in their shared interest to pursue innovations in the Flemish manufacturing industry.

While AnSyMo focuses on software intensive systems, Cosys_lab’s primary focus lies with cyber physical systems. Since cyber physical systems utilize software intensive systems, the unity of our two labs became a match made in heaven. Both core-labs belong to the broader Nexor-consortium at the university of Antwerp.

Like a  well-oiled machine our 53 members collaborate with Flanders Make; the Flemish Strategic Research Center for manufacturing industry. We closely work together with the Flemish government, companies and other universities such as KULeuven, UGent, VUB en UHasselt. We also collaborate with international partners from around the world such as Turkish or American universities or the European Union. 

In short, together we aim to make the vehicles, machines and factories of the future better, smarter, more efficient and more cost-effective.
