In 2020, he set up his own practice, atelier oh, that explores furniture, installation, scenography and spatial design, often through collaborations with other architects, artists, researchers, and makers. Since 2025, York Bing has been appointed mandate assistant in the field of interior architecture with a focus on design research at the Faculty of Design Sciences in the University of Antwerp.

Favourite (interior) architecture project

The summer residence of Zofia and Oskar Hansen in Szumin (Poland) is a spatial realisation of the architects' Open Form concept, that continually evolved with the family. A refuge full of intrigues nestled in careless greenery, this is a house that felt cosy and experimental at the same time, contemplative and dynamic, protective and yet open to ideas, people and nature.
