Favourite (interior) architecture project

A most remarkable example of (interior)architecture for me is the church of the Poor Clares Monastery in Oostende-Mariakerke. The work of architect Paul Felix, created in collaboration with artists Michel Martens and Roger Bonduel, the project embodies a unity of architecture and art, in which the modernist pursuit of restraint harmonizes with the contemplative spirit of the community. It translates the nuns’ austere way of life into a coherent design defined by simplicity, coloured light, and silence. The result is a subtle and timeless ensemble — one of the most compelling examples of ecclesiastical architecture of its time.
