About Nicolas
Professor Nicolas Verhaert is professor of medicine at KU Leuven and head of the Research Group Experimental Oto-rhino-laryngology (ExpORL). As an otologic surgeon and clinician-scientist, he bridges hearing research and clinical practice to enhance the lives of individuals with hearing impairments. His research focuses on inner ear imaging techniques, biosensing for cochlear implants, and the mechanics of hearing related to implantable devices.
