University of Antwerp: expert in Europe, Migration and Diversity

The University of Antwerp is located in the highly diverse city of Antwerp and has a longstanding research experience in migration and diversity. Within this context the university presents itself as an actively pluralistic educational institution, encouraging an attitude of openness, dialogue and critical reflection within and between various ideologies.

It stimulates research, education and services on these issues based on the insights provided by research centres such as the Centre for Migration and Intercultural Studies, the Centre for Inequality, Poverty, Social Exclusion and the City, the Herman Deleeck Centre for Social Policy, Translation and Intercultural Studies Research Center and the Institute of Development Policy and Management. Furthermore, it hosts the chair on ‘European values: discourses and prospects’, the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence ACTORE and the Cusanus chair on ‘Interreligious dialogue and conflict management’.
