Tuition fee
- Students: €650
- UAntwerp students: €500 (student fee €650 – €150 reduction applied, see “Scholarships” section below)
- Non-students (management trainees, junior managers, etc.): €1750
- Etihad trainees: €800
The tuition fee includes the courses, company visits, welcome reception, and a gala dinner close to the winter university venue. It does not include daily lunches and dinners, travel and accommodation.
Accommodation and other costs
Accommodation — Dusit Thani Abu Dhabi (5★)
We have partnered with the Dusit Thani Abu Dhabi to offer high-quality, affordable accommodation. A booking link (to be provided) will allow you to reserve a double or triple room directly on the hotel’s website at a discounted rate. We encourage participants to share rooms to reduce costs; a twin room typically costs about €80 per person per night. If you would like help finding a roommate, please contact us, and we will facilitate a match.
An optional dinner add-on will be available during booking for about €20 per person per night, which we can highly recommend.
Other costs
Lunch is not included in the tuition fee. However, Khalifa University’s food court offers a wide range of tasty, budget-friendly options.
Flights are also not included and are at your own expense.
Disclaimer cancellation
Cancellation by the organisation
Should the summer or winter school be cancelled by the organiser for organisational reasons or as a result of force majeure, the organiser will refund the registration fee. Claims for further liabilities or damages are excluded.
Cancellation by the participant
If a participant decides to cancel their enrolment in the summer or winter school, they must notify the organiser in writing. The following cancellation policy applies, unless otherwise mentioned on the website of the specific summer or winter school.
- Cancellation more than six weeks before the programme’s start date: 20% of the tuition fee* will be retained as a cancellation cost.
- Cancellation between two and six weeks before the programme’s start date: 50% of the tuition fee* will be retained as a cancellation cost.
- Cancellation less than two weeks before the programme’s start date: No refund will be issued.
*Cancellation costs are based on the tuition fee before deduction of the €150 scholarship provided to regular University of Antwerp students. Other types of discounts, such as early bird reductions, are not affected by this policy.
The organiser will not be liable for any further claims, damages, or losses resulting from the participant's cancellation. We strongly encourage securing travel insurance to protect against potential losses resulting from cancellation.
All refunds are processed in euros. The organisation cannot refund any shortfalls due to exchange rate fluctuations or bank charges.
Scholarships
Scholarships for University of Antwerp students
Two types of scholarships are available for students who are currently enrolled as regular students of the University of Antwerp.
- A fee reduction of €150 is offered to support participation in a summer or winter school organised by Antwerp Summer and Winter University. The following students qualify for this discount: University of Antwerp students regularly enrolled under a diploma contract in a Bachelor, Master, Advanced Master, Preparatory Programme, Bridging Programme or Academic Teaching Programme, in academic year 2025-2026.
- Scholarship for a short international experience for students who qualify for financial aid by the Department of Social, Cultural and Studentaffairs (SCS) (To be requested 3 months before the international activity)
