Fee and scholarships

Tuition fee

  • UAntwerp students: €950 
    • Regular fee €750 – €150 reduction applied, see “Scholarships” section below
  • Students and/or ESPID members*: €1100
    • Bachelor students, medical students, master students. *We require at least a two year ESPID membership to offer this reduced fee
  • Postgraduate students: €1300 
    • PhD students, Clinical Residents 
  • Non-students: €2500 
    • Public and private sector, industry.

The tuition fee includes course material, accommodation, coffee breaks, all meals on course days, social activities, and a farewell dinner.

Disclaimer cancellation

Cancellation by the organisation  

Should the summer school be cancelled by the organiser for organisational reasons or as a result of force majeure, the organiser will refund the tuition fee. Claims for further liabilities or damages are excluded.  

  Cancellation by the participant  

  • If a participant decides to cancel their enrolment in the summer school, they must notify the organiser via email to sumvax@uantwerp.be. If the participant cancels more than 4 weeks before the start of the summer school, 50% of the tuition fee can be reimbursed. If the participant cancels within 4 weeks before the start of the summer school, €100 of the tuition fee will be refunded.  
  • If the participant cancels with less than 1 week before the start of the summer school, there will be no refund.   
  • All refunds are made in euros. The organisation cannot refund any shortfalls due to exchange rate fluctuations or bank charges. 

Participants who were awarded a scholarship are not eligible for reimbursement, as no tuition fee was paid by them directly.  

Scholarships

Different kinds of scholarships are available. Read carefully the information below.

Scholarships for incoming students

Scholarships are available for bachelor and master students from WHO-European region. To apply for a scholarship, you have to complete the specific bursary request in the registration form. Scholarships are awarded to a limited number of students according to gender, age and nationality.

ESPID-members ( member for at least 2 years) benefit from a reduced tuition fee.

Scholarships for University of Antwerp students

Two types of scholarships are available for students who are currently enrolled as regular students of the University of Antwerp. 

  1. A fee reduction of €150 is offered to support participation in a summer or winter school organised by Antwerp Summer and Winter University. The following students qualify for this discount: University of Antwerp students regularly enrolled under a diploma contract in a Bachelor, Master, Advanced Master, Preparatory Programme, Bridging Programme or Academic Teaching Programme, in either academic year 2025-2026 or 2026-2027.
  2. ​Scholarship for a short international experience for students who qualify for financial aid by the Department of Social, Cultural and Studentaffairs (SCS) (To be requested 3 months before the international activity)
