Peter Delputte

Peter Delputte is professor of virology / vaccinology at University of Antwerp, Vice-chair department of Biomedical-Sciences, and local coordinator of the Master in Leading International Vaccinology Education. 

Within the ReViRAnt project, he is head of the executing lab.

Benedicte De Winter

Benedicte De Winter is full professor at the University of Antwerp, Head of the Skills Lab, Executive Director of the Laboratory of Experimental Medicine and Pediatrics, and vice-dean of the faculty of medicine and health sciences at the University of Antwerp.

Stijn Verhulst

Stijn Verhulst is professor at the University of Antwerp, Head of department pediatrics UZA, pediatric pulmonologist, and coordinator of Antwerp cystic fibrosis center and pediatric sleep lab. 

Within the ReViRAnt project, he facilitates patient recruitment as the head of the pediatric department.

Kim Van Hoorenbeeck

Kim Van Hoorenbeeck is assistant professor at the University of Antwerp. 

Within the ReViRAnt project, she coordinates, together with Prof. Verhulst, the clinical aspects, patient recruitment and sampling.

Lieve Hoflack

Lieve Hoflack is Valorisation manager at the University of Antwerp. 

Within the ReViRAnt project, she supports the valorisation and business development of the respiratory virus repository.

Sakshi Jindal

Sakshi Jindal is a research assistant that supports the lab aspects of the project for establishing cultures of reference viruses, optimizing routine multiplex PCRs and whole genome sequencing for viral isolates, specifically, RSV.

Martina Ceconi

Martina Ceconi is a research assistant that supports the lab aspects of the project for establishing cultures of reference viruses, cell cultures, and to manage and optimize virus isolation.

Julie Degraeve

Julie Degraeve is study coordinator/study nurse in the Pediatrics department, UZA.

Within the ReViRAnt project, she supports patient management and collection of clinical samples and assist with all required administrative and logistic processes.


Annelies Van Eyck

Annelies Van Eyck is research coordinator at the UZA. 

Within the ReViRAnt project, she provides support for the bio- banking of the original patient samples.

Naomi De Roeck

Naomi De Roeck supports cell culture, virus isolation and production of virus stocks, and routine technical activities for qPCR and sequencing, such as nucleic acid isolation. In addition, she is responsible for the routine management of the virus repository upon completion of the project.

Sara Van Looy

Sara Van Looy is performing a PhD on how different RSV isolates differentially stimulate innate immune responses in lung macrophages. She will support setting up the novel equipment and technical aspects of the virus repository and sample management system, taking care to integrate this with the current systems in the lab.
