Sarah Kuypers is a senior researcher at the departments of History and Sociology where she studies income and wealth distributions in Belgium and the Netherlands during the 20th and 21st centuries. Her research focuses in particular on developing methods and indicators for measuring inequality and poverty, and on assessing the impact of social and fiscal policies using microsimulation models. She also co-teaches the university-wide interdisciplinary course Poverty & Inequality.
