Measuring individual well-being is an important, but tricky exercise. Well-being is influenced by different aspects of life (e.g. income, health, housing quality, ...), over which people may have different preferences. During my PhD trajectory, I investigate well-being measures which weigh these different aspects of life according to people's preferences. My focus lies on improving the statistical accuracy of existing measures, and on correcting for behavioural biases when eliciting preferences.
