About Brecht Maes

Brecht Maes graduated in 2023 with a Master’s degree in Industrial Sciences: Electromechanics from the University of Antwerp. He then started as a project researcher on the VLAIO TETRA project "Drivetrain Concept Optimization" (AnCoOpt). In 2024, he was assigned as a teaching assistant, where he is primarily responsible for the robotics labs and providing support for courses related to automation. Additionally, he is conducting PhD research on global energy-optimal geometries and motion profiles for serial and parallel robots, aligning with the research mission of Cosys-Lab.
