About Maya Berg

My responsibilities as a research manager include exploring innovative and multidisciplinary research collaborations within and outside the Infla-Med Centre of Excellence. For this, I identify funding possibilities and support the process of writing new fundamental and applied preclinical  research proposals. I am also involved in the project management of large international projects with Infla-Med involvement. Infla-Med performs fundamental and translational research into targets for the treatment of inflammatory diseases by using a multidisciplinary approach.

I obtained my PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2010 at the University of Antwerp and afterwards coordinated a metabolomics research line as a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Tropical Medicine, Antwerp (2010-2015). Since 2016, I am the research manager of the Infla-Med Centre of Excellence.
