About Bert Jorissen

Bert is a member of the CMT research-group. After he finished his master-thesis about superconductivity in 2020, he continued in the solid state physics with B. Partoens and L. Covaci. Currently, he studies 2D materials like graphene and TMDs using Tight-Binding models. For these calculations, he uses the internally developed software PyBinding. Besides this research, Bert is also active in diverse parts of the university, like the education committee, the Antwerp Young Minds and he helps with the development of the Minecraft-project in collaboration with IMEC
