I am a PhD researcher with a background in oceanography, currently studying the development of new mangrove ecosystems in Ecuador. I investigate biophysical interactions between sediment dynamics, tidal hydrodynamics, and vegetation, focusing on the conditions that favor mangrove establishment across large spatiotemporal scales. My work combines field-based research, remote sensing (drones, photogrammetry, GIS), and numerical modeling of coastal systems. Beyond academia, I am passionate about applying science to support restoration and sustainable coastal management in tropical regions.
