I work with the unseen in three ways: there are the many different bacteria, only visible through a microscope. Then, their electric properties -after all, we can't see electricity/electrons - and thirdly, how this is encoded in their D/RNA and how it ends up as proteins. This circus of unseen things is knitted together by complex interactions between the bacteria that revolve around eating and breathing. Unravelling interactions with cable bacteria (a literal cable of bacteria that works as an electric wire), together with amazing scientists is what I do (www.microbial-electricity.eu).
