Do you want to maintain a language you learnt and are you looking for additional speaking opportunities? From November 2023 onwards, Linguapolis will organise Online Language Cafés!
In an Online Language Café, you meet other language learners online at a fixed time. Guided by a native speaker, you spend an hour talking about a country’s culture, current affairs and society – in the language you want to be fluent in!

That’s why an Online Language Café is just the thing for you!
- You want to maintain a language you learnt, and be able to speak it more fluently without worrying about homework or exams.
- You want to meet like-minded people in a relaxed online setting, and continue learning while being guided by a native speaker.
- You want to learn more about the language, culture and society of a country where they speak your target language.
- You can make time once a week to join a one-hour online session without worrying about missing a session at some point.
- You are not an absolute beginner: at minimum, you can talk about yourself using basic phrases.

From October 2023 onwards, you can find the calendar of our Online Language Cafés here, and register for a series of online sessions.

- Arabic, Chinese, German, English, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Dutch, Norwegian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Turkish and Swedish.
The weekly sessions will start in November 2023 and are open to anyone who wants to practise and maintain a language.

What is the difference between an Online Language Café and a language course?
An Online Language Café is not a language lesson: there is no qualified language teacher, homework, exam or certificate.
Still not sure if you should take one of our language courses or an Online Language Café? We’ve made an overview with all the differences. Of course, you can also choose to take both a language course and an OLC.
