A fraction too much friction? Taking stock of academic partnerships bridging the North-South divide

Academic partnerships bridging the North-South divide involve extra dimensions of inequality and contextual difference that make them potentially highly valuable but also less evident. In this workshop, we take stock of the experiences of such partnerships at the Uantwerp, drawing on available project data as well as on the results of a survey carried out among the colleagues at partner institutes in the Global South. What can we learn from this for the future of UAntwerp’s partnerships and for the future of our university’s Global Engagement?

The workshop invites colleagues and partners to reflect together on how these insights can be translated into institutional learning and future practices.
