Public Mental Health

Why we do what we do...

In a society with optimal mental health care, psychological problems are timely recognized, and adequate, personalized care is available for everyone with psychological needs.

The Chair Public Mental Health aims to realize an optimal mental health care, including prevention, the reduction of taboo and stigma, and adequate continuation of care.

The Chair’s research maps the needs for mental health care, as well as the current care provisions. We would like to inventory the gaps and overlaps in care provision, and to improve the alignment between the needs and the care provided.

Additional topics of interest are: the somatic care for persons with psychological complaints and the well-being of care providers.
