Partnership with MetaROR
Extending the life of your conference paper
The STI-ENID 2026 conference organizers are pleased to announce its collaboration with MetaROR (MetaResearch Open Review), a publish-review-curate platform dedicated to metaresearch. Following a successful partnership during STI-ENID 2025 in Bristol, we are once again offering authors the opportunity to further develop their work after the conference and engage in an open peer review process.
From conference paper to proceedings and open review
STI-ENID 2026 uses a traditional closed peer review process for conference submissions. Accepted papers will be published via Oxford Abstracts and included in the official conference proceedings.
In addition, authors are invited to submit an extended version of their conference paper to MetaROR.
An extended paper should:
- Build on feedback received from conference reviewers
- Incorporate insights gained during the conference discussions
- Follow MetaROR’s author guidelines
Before submitting to MetaROR, authors first publish their extended paper on a preprint server or repository. We recommend Zenodo and encourage authors to link their paper to the STI-ENID 2026 community there.
There is no strict deadline for MetaROR submission, but authors are encouraged to submit by December 2026.
What happens on MetaROR?
MetaROR runs an open peer review process.
For each submitted paper:
- Review reports are published openly
- An editorial assessment is provided
- Reviewer names are disclosed (unless anonymity is requested)
Whenever possible, MetaROR aims to involve the same reviewers who evaluated the paper for the conference. This is not always feasible, but the goal remains continuity and constructive dialogue.
Papers reviewed through this partnership will be clearly marked with an “STI-ENID 2026” tag on the MetaROR platform.
Authors can revise their paper based on the review reports and, if they wish, submit a revised version for a second round of review.
Why consider it?
MetaROR offers a way to:
- Make your work openly visible
- Receive transparent, citable reviews
- Build on conference feedback in a structured way
- Strengthen your path toward journal publication
It’s an opportunity to turn conference momentum into a more developed, openly reviewed contribution.
