Call for abstracts

WHO

1. Explorers
   
   1. early-stage PhD students (Year 1)
   2. present research plan and talk about the expected challenges, and this is also the place to share doubts and ask more experienced colleagues for their opinion.
2. Navigators
   1. mid-stage PhD students (Year 2-3)
   2. share progress, reflect on challenges, and outline next step.
3. Pioneers
   1. late-stage or recently completed PhDs
   2. present near-final or completed work and engage with the peers.

WHAT

• Presentations
  • recommended for Navigators and Pioneers
  • duration: 20 minutes
• Pitches
  • recommended for Explorers
  • duration: 5 minutes
• PechaKucha
  • 20 slides plus 20 seconds each. An innovative presentation format designed to be dynamic and interactive

HOW

For presentations, please provide an abstract of no more than 300 words (reference excluded). For pitches topic and and title will suffice. All abstracts and presentations must be in English. Please submit your abstract or topic to doctoralconferenceflw@uantwerpen.be, by 28 September 2026. Notifications of acceptance and registration will be sent out at the beginning of next academic year (2026-2027).
