Online Participation & Global perspectives session
Cichlid Science 2026 is committed to being accessible to the global cichlid research community, and this year we're expanding the ways researchers can take part regardless of location or ability to travel. We are proud to have awarded travel grants to six researchers from the Global South to attend in person in Antwerp, and have decided to open up a pathway for the broad cichlid research community to attend online.
We are hosting a dedicated session of pre-recorded flash talks. Only researchers working in the Global South are welcome to participate in this format, with no travel required.
Live online participation: The full conference will also be available via live webinar for those joining remotely, free for participants from the global south.
How to take part:

- Register for online/webinar participation via the online registration form below.
Deadline: Submissions for flash talks are expected before the 7th of August and registration for online participation closes 28th of August 2026.
